Overview
Profiles are classifications for your users that can be created within the XMAP Admin Panel.
They are used to differentiate and determine XMAP permissions.
Profiles are fixed for a group of users. If you'd like more flexibility you might like to consider Workspaces for your organisation as the primary way of allowing users to switch their views.
Using Workspaces
Note: You will need to create some profiles before creating user accounts, as during the creation process you must specify what the user's profile will be.
Creating a Profile
To create a profile:
- Go to the Admin Panel in XMAP. To do this, click the Cog icon, located in the top right of the XMAP window.
- Select 'Profiles' from the left toolbar.
- Click the '+' symbol in the top of the Profiles window.
- Name your Profile, and press 'Save'.
This will create a profile. To edit the profile's permissions, see our support article: Editing Profiles.
