View your calendar in external calendar apps
Overview
Having your personal, council and any other calendar overlaid on each other in a calendar app is a really useful thing. It helps you see clashes and how busy you are in one view.
You can share your gov.uk (Zoho Mail) calendar with external calendar apps such as Google Calendar. This tutorial will show you how.
Get the link from your gov.uk email
- Log into your gov.uk webmail
- Click on the Settings button in the top right (there are two, it doesn't matter which one you choose)
- Switch the Mail drop-down to Calendar in the top left
- In the menu, select My Calendars (you can also use the search box to find it)
- Under these settings, scroll down to Public Access and change the "Share calendar with any people" to one of the options that's not Off.
- View only Free/Busy will share only the times of calendar appointments and whether you're free or busy for them
- View Event Details will share all details about the calendar appointment. Use this if you're sharing to your own external calendar.
- Under the iCal section, click the Copy URL button
That's done, you can now go to your 3rd party calendar app (like Google Calendar) to complete the process (details below).

Steps here may vary if Google changes things!
- Go to https://calendar.google.com and log in with your personal Gmail account.
- Click the + button next to Other Calendars
- Select From URL
- Paste in the URL you copied in your gov.uk mail account
- Click Add Calendar
And that's done! You'll find this will sync to your Google Calendar app on your phone as well as through the web version.
