Toggle labels on and off

Toggle labels on and off

Overview

If a Map Layer has a label as part of its style, you can toggle this label on and off from the layer's mini-menu.

Please note: toggling the label state only affects your view. It will not change for you colleagues. To permanently remove labels, edit the style.

Please note: if your session is refreshed, the Map Layer labels will return, as per the styling set.

Method

To turn labels off:
  1. Switch on a Map Layer
  2. Hover over the tick box to reveal the cog icon, and click it
  3. Select "Turn Labels Off"
A blue label icon will appear next to the tick indicating the layer is switched on.

To turn labels back on, either:
  1. Click the blue label icon next to the tick
  2. Go back to the menu and select "Turn Labels On"
Note: the print tool will respect the current state of the labels, so if you turn the labels off, they won't appear in a printout.
