Resetting User's Passwords

Resetting User's Passwords

Overview

The administrator (usually the Clerk) will have access to the Admin Panel which gives an overview of when a user last logged in and enables the administrator to provide support to the users.

Permissions

Only the account admin (typically the Clerk) can set aliases for users. This is because if it was a free-for-all, it could get messy and it's also open to abuse.

Method

  1. Log into https://mailadmin.zoho.eu using your clerk email account credentials
  2. Go to Users
  3. Click on the name of the user you want to change the password for
  4. Click the Security tab
  5. Select "Change Password"
  6. Enter a new password. You may wish to use an auto generator for this such as xkpasswd - a secure, memorable password generator.
  7. Choose whether to force password change on first login - for someone struggling to login it may be best to deselect this.
  8. If the user has access on one device but has forgotten their password to sign in on an additional device, you may wish to deselect the "sign out from all devices" box and choose "send credentials via email" so that they can receive the change of password email.
  9. Click Change
That's done.
