Contributing to the Local Council National Mapping Statistics project

Overview

This project aims to visualise organisational, environmental and technological factors about town, parish and community councils in order to see regional and national variations.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

  1. Log into Parish Online Mapping
  2. Scroll down the left-hand layer control to find "Boundaries - Administrative"
  3. Check that the Parish boundary layer is switched on
  4. Click on the map within the parish boundary you want to add information for
  5. In the left-hand Info Click panel, click the "Submit Local Council Statistics"
  6. Complete the form and click Submit.
    1. If you don't know some of the answers, leave them blank and click Next
Now you can review the maps you're contributing to;
  1. In the left-hand layer control find the "National Maps - Stats" collection and click it to expand it
  2. Select any of the layers in the collection to view the maps
  3. Click on the parishes on the map to reveal more information in the Info Click panel.
