Adding Collections

Adding Collections

Overview

Collections are groups of layers and are displayed to the user as an expandable list. Collections can contain any layers but must contain layers of the same type (base maps or overlays).

If you want to create a collection, you can do so through the collections tab of the administration panel.

This action can only be undertaken as the XMAP account's administrator.

Creating Collections

To create a new Collection:

  1. Log into XMAP using your XMAP ID.
  2. Click on the Cog icon in the top right corner of the XMAP window. This will open up the Admin Dashboard.
  3. Go to the Collections tab, located in the left toolbar.
  4. Click the + button in the Collections section and enter the details for the new collection.

You may then decide what layers you wish to add to your new collection.
