Transfer of bulk data into and out of a layer
The table view is is very useful. It is particularly useful to be able to export it to a spreadsheet. What I would also be able to do is the reverse. For many reasons - for example: • I would like to modify the data on a spreadsheet and then reinsert
Entering coordinates
Entering coordinates always raises my blood pressure. The main reason is that the iphone photo exif data is still in the days of rod, poles and perches. Changing it to a format that PO can digest is a tedious wsste of my life. I dont want PO to change
Logging in by Parish Online
If you come in to the community forum, from Parish Online, could we have an arrangement by which the forum recognises our legitimate Parish Online account, so that we don't have to log in again to the community forum?
Enable users to see the scale of the map in use
Currently there is no way to tell the scale of the map in use. Once determined, then it would also be a great help to be able to zoom directly to that same scale in future (very useful when comparing two maps, one of whose scale you know) So, please
Action buttons look as though they are greyed out.
On the original page, the Add Topic button looks as though it is greyed out. Even worse, when the topic is filled, the eye is naturally taken to Submit a ticket as the eye is naturally taken to the largest button and Submit a ticket seems at a quick glance
Masking within a Parish
There is a very good masking facility when looking across the boundary of our parish, but there are also times when one would like to mask within a parish as well.
Entering more than one set of coordinates
I occasionally want to enter several sets of coordinates at once (from EXif data of six photos for example). But I can only enter one. Entering the second replaces the first. Is there any way of doing this. ? And if not, is it something that would
Asset Register exort Defibrillators
When I view the report it shows 256 defibrillators...we only have 1. It seems to be picking up all on the system. All other assets look OK. Just me did I need to check a box somewhere?
Highways Network Speed Limits
Chris With reference the comments made by Stogursey on this subject. The information in this layer is not only incorrect but in some cases dangerous. The layer for Nether Stowey shows farm tracks across fields as being accessible and with a 60mph limit.
Mobile Usage
I was hoping to log the location of the dog bins in our Parish (exciting I know), whilst using Parish Online via my mobile with the GPS tracking to get decent pinpoint locations. Now it didn't help that it was freezing and drizly, but I struggled to add
Asset Register Exports
The Knowledge Base entry for "Asset Register Exports" states that future exports - eg in .csv format - may be created, based upon demand. I hereby register a request for this asap, please, since much of the point of the Asset Register is to record due
New Energy Performance Certificate Map launched - how will you use this data?
You may have seen that we've recently added a new dataset; EPC Register Map. It's a map showing the Energy Performance Certificate ratings for residential properties in England and Wales. We've created a new dataset to help with visualising neighbourhoods
The Geometry of Allotments
I have been holding off adding my individual allotment plots to PO because of the number of them to add as individual polygons (and all different shapes and sizes!). I realise that creating a new geometry type might be a big deal, and it may be that this
Batch Value Changes
Is it possible to change all of a particular value for a particular asset type to a different value, without having to go into each asset? I've recently received a spreadsheet with all our street lights, including models - at the moment I have most of
'Select a Layer' in Feature Editor: vary the choice depending upon the starting Collection
In the Feature Editor, could it be arranged so that the list of layers available in the 'Select a Layer' box is restricted according to the Collection from which one entered the Feature Editor, please? Suppose one's task for the day is to add items to
The Highways Network - Speed Limits
Everywhere I have looked in Stogursey Parish appears incorrectly labelled, it even shows the internal roads around Hinkley Point C reactor site is 60 mph limit... Most of the roads of the Parish are incorrectly coloured. Maybe the layer should be withdrawn
New Isochrone tool launched - what are your thoughts?
We've launched a new tool designed to help local councils calculate travel distances in order to review accessibility of local facilities, active travel infrastructure and making cities, towns and villages better places live in. It's called Isochrone
Welcome to the XMAP Community Forum
This is new so it's pretty empty at the moment, but we'll begin adding content alongside our Knowledge Base. We'd also encourage you to ask questions and post your ideas and suggestions for us all to review and discuss. We want this to be a place for
