This question concerns only X-map I think

In the style creation process when I'm setting up a layer there seems to be an option of copying a stylesheet from one layer to another.  I find the original and click on it.  But when I subsequently look at the styles, nothing has happened.  I'm wondering whether I am not using the copy function correctly or whether I have misinterpreted the copy function
